One of the more trusted betting websites in Australia outside the major boys and girls is Lynch Bet, the betting website of respected bookmaker Grant Lynch.
Down below is a comprehensive review of LynchBet and what they do well, what they can do better and why punters are gravitating towards them.
Why Are LynchBet Popular
As stated above, Grant Lynch is a respected and popular bookmaker based in NSW. He is mainly seen bookmaking on course at Newcastle and Kembla Grange but has done a really good job going online in recent years, and is prominent online, promoting his business, which is a big tick.
Some punters get frustrated when betting websites bombard with international meetings. With LynchBet, he is an Australian bookmaker and with that, his focus is Australian/New Zealand racing, covering all of the meetings in that part of the world that the TAB cover.
The racing odds they have on offer stack up well compared to other betting websites. An example of this was a recent meeting at Hobart where a runner had a market average price of $3.70 whereas with LynchBet, they had odds of $3.90, which was the market leader, comfortably, which is a big tick.
Why We Like LynchBet
If you are a punter that doesn’t need form and just purely wants to bet on races, LynchBet is the perfect sit. They don’t bombard you with info. They have the race field, flucs and prices. It’s a very easy and simple form of betting for a website and is very likeable.
Some bookmakers somewhat restrict themselves in terms of what odds they provide, but LynchBet are very good when it comes to Australian horse racing, offering top tote/SP odds on all horse races in Australia, which is outstanding. Some cover that on some horse meetings, but not all, so that is a tick with them.
A new betting website must have a good help/faq/about us section otherwise new customers are betting blind and are unsure to be confident to bet with them. LynchBet have a detailed section on all fronts mentioned, explaining all major issues such as depositing/withdrawing/security.
Why We Don’t Like LynchBet
If you are a racing fan, you’ll love LynchBet. If you want to bet on sports, you’ll be wasting your time because there is no sport available to bet on. Given Lynch is a prominent racing bookmaker, that is understandable, but the business would surely be enhanced if they added sports, even if it was just the main sports.
I thought they could offer more in terms of depositing options. It is just Visa/Mastercard and Poli, which does limit punters, to a certain extent. Other betting websites have plenty more options so that is something that could be explored down the track.
They don’t have live streaming for both racing and sport. Being able to bet and watch at the same website/app and not having to flick through from one to the other is a big advantage, so LynchBet not having that is disappointing and that would be a factor as to why punters wouldn’t want to bet with them given how important that can be.
6 Reasons To Bet With LynchBet
1. Racing Product
It’s a 100% racing website, with no focus beyond that. If you are a racing punter, you will enjoy LynchBet given that is what they are all about, with no sport available.
2. Simple Website
It’s a pure betting website. No form, no tips, no bombardment of info. It’s just race field, odds and bet. No complications, no bells and whistles. If you are purely wanting to just bet, it is the website for you.
3. Quick Payments
The Deposit/Withdrawal methods are on the thin side, but the big tick for their Withdrawals is that they have Osko, so when withdrawing, you’ll get your money straight away, which is just about market leader in terms of waiting time for withdrawals.
4. Racing Markets
Whilst the Fixed Odds side of things could improve, the prices they put up are very competitive relative to their new rivals, not cuddling and not copy/pasting from the bigger betting agencies like TAB and Sportsbet.
5. Fast Payouts
Paying out on winning bets is quick. Some betting websites will wait until the result is official but with LynchBet, they will pay out when the result is interim. Terms and conditions do apply but that is very good.
6. Customer Service
Whilst they are quite limited when it comes to customer service options, the response time is quite good relative to their rivals and those who are there for customer service know what they are talking about.
