Why Are BudgetBet Popular
They cover all meetings that the TAB covers, whether it be from Australia or overseas, so if you want to bet away from the TAB, then something similar available is BudgetBet, that have been in business since the height of Covid and have Fixed Odds markets available for all races.
Line betting for sports is very popular but with new betting websites, they cuddle the prices and offer as low as $1.80. BudgetBet have $1.90 lines available for most sports, including the main ones like NRL and AFL. Not quite at the level of $2 lines like someone like Ladbrokes has available, but $1.90 is still very competitive.
Most bookies have odds boosts available for punters and that is the case with BudgetBet, which has it available for both racing and sports, whether it be a single bet or a multi bet, so they get a tick in that regard given there are some new bookies that don’t have an odds boost.
Why We Like BudgetBet
Their promotions side of things is pretty good compared to their new rivals. Why We Don’t Like Budgetbet
Where do we begin here…let’s start with the markets for the racing. The odds are good, but it’s only Fixed Odds available, and only win and place. No exotic betting, no Quaddies, no same race multis, nothing. In terms of new websites, this is as poor as I’ve seen and surely they are in the process of offering more options for punters.
The sporting markets are very poor as a whole, but to use a key example, at the time of writing this, January 2023, there was no futures markets available for any of the sports they offer markets on, namely AFL and NRL. Plus with their round betting, there is only head to head betting and line betting, which is really poor.
Their customer service horrible. They only have email as a form of customer service, and they say on the website it can take up to 24 hours for them to respond. Given the low level of quality of their service, as a whole, it’s no shock that the customer service is where it is in terms of quality.
