Ladbrokes arrived in Australia in 2013 having been a well established gambling company in the UK and other international markets for many years prior.
Since their Australian launch Ladbrokes has been quick to establish themselves as one of the major players in the Australian market and have gone on to acquire Neds.com.au in 2018.
Ladbrokes are a favourite among Australian punters largely due to their creative marketing and innovative betting products.
Although many of their promotions are restricted to logged in users, once logged in you quickly see why Ladbrokes retain so many of their clients.
Despite being internationally owned, Ladbrokes.com.au operate out of Brisbane and employ hundreds of Australians.
Ladbrokes.com.au is licensed and regulated by the Northern Territory Racing Commission.
Why are Ladbrokes so popular?
Ladbrokes have grown to be one of the biggest Australian bookmakers and it’s pretty easy to see why after being a customer of theirs for a period of time.
You would be hard pressed to find an Australian who hasn’t heard of Ladbrokes which is a credit to their marketing team.
But after signing up you quickly see why people continue to bet with Ladbrokes, their website and mobile apps are brilliantly designed.
Ladbrokes also offer great daily promotions and tools that would no doubt keep their retention rate high.
Why we like Ladbrokes ✅
As we mentioned above, it’s just hard to find many faults with Ladbrokes. Their website and app are almost unrivaled when it comes to design and ease of use.
Ladbrokes do offer live streaming for Victorian and South Australian thoroughbred racing which is great if you’re betting in those markets.
Their form guides for racing are excellent and they’re one of the quickest bookmakers to add sports and racing markets each week.
Why we don’t like Ladbrokes ❌
Overall we think Ladbrokes do a great job in most areas. They’re one of the most innovate bookmakers so they’re usually ahead of the ball if they’re lacking in any areas.
The only real fault with Ladbrokes is that their live streaming of Australian racing is limited to Racing.com coverage which only covers Victorian and South Australian thoroughbred racing.
Other than that there’s not a whole lot that other bookmakers do better than Ladbrokes.
