Dabble is a game changer in the Australian betting landscape, with punters being able to follow bets from friends, form analysts, copy the bets and then have a chat/banter with other punters that are in on the same event.
They launched late last year and are growing in stature as one of the more popular betting apps in Australia, with a point of difference being key.
Why Are Dabble Popular?
Dabble is a new betting agency, with betting on racing and sports available, but their point of difference is trying to show punters that there is a fun/social side to the caper, which is popular with their punters and it’s cottoned on with a couple of major bookies with Sportsbet and Ladbrokes adopting something similar.
It also allows your account to be public or private. If it is public, whatever you bet on, other punters can copy your bets, cheer them with you and banter with you win/lose/draw. It’s a great initiative, especially for those who are professional punters that make their profile public.
Their markets, both racing and sport, stack up pretty well compared to some of the bigger betting agencies. Their prices are ultra competitive and aren’t too skinny unlike some of their new rivals. They are willing to offer up a decent price on certain runners and are happy to take a bet.
Why We Like Dabble
The banter side of things is a game changer and a major drawcard. There are some who take punting seriously, but there are some who prefer to be a social/fun activity, and that is Dabble personified. It is an easy to chat with mates, poke some fun and banter and generally have a good time.
The app is outstanding. They don’t have a website but they make up for it with the app, which is relatively new, but it stacks up really well with their rivals, including the big boys. The layout is simple, the colours are a standout and it’s quite easy to navigate and find what you’re looking for.
The customer service is fast. They have the main three of live chat, email and phone number, and the response time is usually pretty good, which isn’t the case with some other betting agencies. When you do get in contact, they know what they are talking about and are very helpful.
Why We Don’t Like Dabble
The app is very good. But it would be ideal if they had a website. App only restricts them in how many punters they can attract and the vast majority of betting agencies have a website, or both a website and app. If they could get a website up and running, their business would improve significantly.
There are next to no options when it comes to depositing and withdrawing. They only have credit/debit card as a deposit option and only a bank transfer as a withdrawal option, and comparing that to their rivals, that is really disappointing and something that needs to be changed.
The social side of the website is their focal point. With that, their markets and odds are somewhat cast aside and probably play second fiddle to the social side of things. That’s all well and good, but their main focus has to be betting and markets. That side of things needs to improve.
6 Reasons To Bet With Dabble
1. Fantastic Social Aspect
Really, punting should be a fun thing to do and not be taken too seriously, and Dabble are trying do that with what path they are going down, something that isn’t seen with any other online bookie.
2. Follow Top Punters & Their Bets
Some of the more well known punters in Australia have their profile as public on Dabble so other punters are able to follow and copy what their bets are, which is such a great positive. Being able to see what some of the sharpest minds in racing are betting on is a big tick.
3. Outstanding App
It is one of the better betting apps in Australia. It is fast, smooth, doesn’t lag and it’s quite easy to navigate and see what you are looking for, whether it be odds of finding punters to follow.
4. Solid Markets
The odds they provide across both racing and sport stack up really well compared to other betting agencies that aren’t one of the bigger wagering operators. The odds are competitive, and especially the markets that are popular when it comes to putting on a multi.
5. Customer Service
Having all three of phone, email and live chat is a big positive. Some are limited as in what they provide, but Dabble have all three and the response time is pretty good, plus they know what they are talking about, which can’t be said about about a couple of the new betting agencies.
6. Markets On Lesser Known Sports
There are a range of markets on lesser known sports, such as Darts, Volleyball and Squash, which is something that other betting agencies aren’t known to do, for the most part, and given some of these sports got popular during Covid, it’s a tick to have markets available.
