Sportsbetting.com.au is no longer. Due to a trademark infringement with Sportsbet a couple of years ago, they are no rebranded, with the new being BoomBet.
Despite the new branding, they are well established from the Sportsbetting.com.au days and offer up a wide range of betting options and promos for punters to sink their teeth into.
Why Are BoomBet Popular?
They have several great inititives with BoomBet, starting with HotBet Betting Tips. You can get tips from expert form analysts and punters that are in form, with that available across all codes in Australian racing. You can filter what tips you can see, whether it be experts, a pro or a media tipster.
Another key initiative they have is BoomBet Blog. The homepage displays where to click on it on the left hand side and it’s updated daily, with ‘Mr Boom’ providing sport and racing tips on a daily basis, providing best bets across both jurisdictions, which is quite popular.
They are one of a select few that reward loyalty from punters. The more that is bet via punters, the more they are rewarded, with loyalty points and rewards exchanged for bonus bets. You can see at the top of the website your loyalty rewards points progress and how close you are to redeeming for bonus bets.
Why We Like BoomBet
They have been in operation for close to 25 years, starting with Sportsbetting.com.au, so they are one the more trusted and respected online bookmakers in Australia. They cover a wide range of sports, which ties in quite nicely with their racing coverage, which is very good relative to their rivals.
The website layout is very good. The different colours across the homepage is very good, with the font easy to read and the website is quite easy and simple to navigate, with what you are looking for being just a click away and not being time consuming, unlike other betting agencies.
They don’t bombard punters with promotions, but what they do provide, it’s pretty good, certainly well enough to go alongside the loyalty rewards program. What they lack in promotions they make up for with strong markets and prices that match up well with their rivals.
Why We Don’t Like BoomBet
The markets are strong. The problem is there isn’t enough. You can make the case that quality > quantity, but given how long they have been in business, I do think they can expand the sporting markets side of things. They are quite limited on the betting options in certain events.
It is the norm with most bookies, but BoomBet are quick to close and restrict accounts that are winning. They aren’t as bad and as quick to do that compared to others, but not willing to take punters on goes against what really being a bookmaker is all about. That side of things need to change.
Live streaming is an important part of betting websites and unfortunately BoomBet don’t have live streaming for neither racing or sport. It can be frustrating betting on a website then having to go elsewhere to watch the event. If they could somehow get live streaming, it would significantly improve their business.
6 Reasons To Bet With BoomBet
1. Customer Service
Their customer service is just about #1 in terms of what they offer. They have the standard three of live chat, phone email, but they take it a step further with Facebook, Facebook Messenger and Twitter, which is the best customer service in terms of bettinhg websites in Australia.
2. Odds Boom
This is available with the vast majority of other betting agencies, but they do have an option for punters to ‘Boom’ their odds on a bet, whether it be a single bet or a multi bet. Getting better odds on certain events is always enticing for punters.
3. Strong Mobile App
They have a strong website but an important part is having a solid app, and BoomBet has a strong app to coincide with the website. It’s similar to the website in terms of the layouts and colours but it’s pretty smooth going, fast with no lagging and it’s easy to navigate.
4. Easy Sign Up/Verification
It can be a nightmare to sign up and verify with certain betting agencies, but thankfully BoomBet makes it easy to do. It only takes a few minutes to sign up then verify the account, then you are off and away, free to bet up, with no sneaky hoops to jump through.
5. Expert Tips
If you are struggling what to back with confidence, then all can be solved. BoomBet has ‘HotBet’, where you can follow the tips from experts at all levels, whether it be expert tipsters, those in the media or those online who are pundits who know what they are doing when it comes to betting.
6. Responsible Gambling Tools
There are some betting agencies who don’t really care when it comes to gambling responsibly, but BoomBet are the opposite and have several tools for those who are struggling with the punt, whether it be deposit limits, taking a break or self excluding permanently.
