MidasBet launched in July 2022 and are Australian owned, offering something up totally different compared to the BetMakers technology, with a slick layout on the website, predominantly black with white writing and red edges, so the font is easy to read and what you’re looking for is easy to spot.
Since their launch, they’ve become popular with punters, with the offerings for their customers, whether it be odds or promotions, stacking up really well relative to some of the leading online bookmakers.
Why Are MidasBet Popular?
A key reason why they are popular is the markets for the horse racing. They offer best tote across all Australian horse racing meetings, something that is rarely seen from any other bookmaker. Some bookies offer best tote on selected race meetings, but with some other meetings, they only have mid tote, but MidasBet has best tote for any meeting, whether it be a Group l meeting at Flemington or a six race card at Leeton, so that is a big tick for them relative to their rivals.
Their promotions, on a daily basis across racing and sports, are suited for all kinds of punters, whether you are a novice or a professional.
Why We Like MidasBet
The website is slick and easy to use/navigatte, which is important for those who like to bet often and don’t have time to search for what market they want. The MIdasBet website is simple in that regard and it isn’t time consuming to find what you’re looking for. The next to race ticker at the top of the market ensures you won’t miss out on an upcoming race.
Their sports markets are strong, to go with their racing markets. The odds they provide, especially line betting, is near top of the market across the board. Some online bookies like to cuddle their line betting odds, but MidasBet are the opposite, which is a good sign that they aren’t in the industry to make up the numbers. Thet mean business.
What also separates them from their new rivals is the explanation of what they want to achieve and why they are in the business. They have an in depth ‘About Us’ and Frequently Asked Questions pages, something that isn’t seen across the board, so they get a tick there.
Why We Don’t Like MidasBet
They are relatively new, but there a few things that need to improve. First, there is no phone number as a customer service/betting option. Live Chat and Emails are both solid options re customer service, but the vast majority of punters would prefer customer service via phone, so hopefully in the not too distant future there is a phone number to contact.
MidasBet are yet to have an app, which is something that would want to change in order to match it with the big boys and their new rivals. Most have both the website and app, whereas MidasBet only have the website, which is all well and good, but especially on a race day, punters prefer to use an app to bet with.
The other key negative is no live streaming, whether it be racing or sports. The big bookies have live vision across all codes and it’s a main reason why they are popular because you can bet and watch it at the same time, rather than Midasbet where you bet but have to go elsewhere to watch.
6 Reasons To Bet With MidasBet
1. Easy Sign Up/Verification
It only takes a few minutes to set up an account wtih MidasBet, then verify it. Some online bookies, you almost feel like a circuit performer the amount of hoops you have to jump through in order to get a verified account. It only takes a few minutes and you’ll be ready to go.
2. Range Of Deposit Options
Once signed up/verified, you then have to deposit and the options there are pretty good, with options being Visa/MasterCard, Poli, EFT and Bank Deposit. Ideally, PayPal would be also an option, but in terms of new bookies, those options are pretty good, which is a tick.
3. Racing Odds/Betting Options
Some online bookies are scared to allow a horse/greyhound to drift, but MidasBet offer good odds on key runners. They have an opinion and are happy to let punters have a crack at certain runners that they are willing to take on. The betting options are also strong. They have the Win/Place, plus all the key exotics ie Quinella/Exacta/Quadrella, and also provide Best Tote/Top Fluc as well, something most of the other new online bookies don’t provide.
4. Fast Customer Service
Whilst there is no phone number re customer service, the waiting time re Live Chat/Email isn’t long and they respond quite quickly, which is a big tick compared to some other new online bookies, who have little to no care re customer service and waiting time. Customer service is the most important part of online wagering and they do it pretty well.
5. Slick Website Layout
Some betting websites are a punish to use, but the MidasBet website is one of the sharpest going around. There is a next to race ticker at the top, so punters won’t get to miss out on a race, with the upcoming events just a click away. There is also a next to race ticker on the left hand side, and you can selected which races you want to see coming up, whether it be horses, greyhounds or trots, or all three. Pending bets can be seen and finalised in the right hand corner of the page, so from a layout perspective, it’s sharp.
6. Promotions
Promotions are a big component to entice punters and MidasBet are quite good in that area. They offer daily promotions for both racing and selected sports. They can be seen on the website, or if you prefer email/sms, that be chosen in your settings once you login.
